On December 23, 2025, Chengdu Rongcheng Football Club held a solemn farewell event for meritorious coach Xu Zhengyuan at Fenghuang Mountain Sports Park. The atmosphere at the event site was warm and solemn. Accompanied by assistant coach Gan Rui, Coach Xu returned to the familiar locker room and stadium where he had fought. On the big screen in the center of the stadium, a five-year tribute video specially produced for Xu is playing. From the league debut, the critical battle to the AFC Champions League journey, precious pictures flash past, and Xu Xu stands quietly on the green field. At the farewell party, the team players sent blessings to Xu in turn.
